Dr. Hernandez is a Board Certified Dermatologist, and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. He has been in private practice in the Boyle Heights area of Los Angeles since 1982. He is also a member of the clinical faculty at the UCLA School of Medicine since 1982, where he serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine in the Dermatology Clinic of Wadsworth Veterans Administration Hospital.

The entire office staff is Bi-lingual in English and Spanish. The office offers the care of all types of skin diseases and dermatological surgery.  

Dr. Hernandez is affiliated with the following hospitals in Southern California: UCLA MEDICAL CENTER, and  WADSWORTH VETERANS ADMINISTRATION HOSPITAL.

Most insurance plans including Medicare and Medi-Cal are accepted.   Dr. Hernandez is a participating physician in many HMO'S and IPA'S

As of May 2007 Physician Assistant,  Jamie Cordoba, is now working along with Dr. Hernandez to be able to provide more efficient and timely care for all our patients
